NEW MEXICO
NATIVE AMERICANS and INDIANS

Diné College
Diné College (DC), formerly Navajo Community
College was the first tribal controlled community
college established in the United States. Today,
there are 32 tribal colleges. In creating an
institution of higher education, the Navajo Nation
sought to encourage Navajo youth to become
contributing members of the Navajo Nation and
the world society

The Indian Arts and Crafts Association
The Indian Arts and Crafts Association (IACA) is a
not-for-profit organization established in 1974 to
support the ethical promotion and protection of
authentic Native American art and culture.  IACA
works to stop fraud and abuse within the market
for Indian art through education,  publicity,
authentication and use of our logo to indicate
certified ethical businesses.  IACA sponsors the
largest wholesale trade shows of handmade Indian
art in the world twice a year.  Members include
Native American artists, wholesale and retail
dealers, museums, collectors and others who
support the goals of the organization.  IACA
supports and works for the protection of
indigenous art worldwide.

Pueblo Indian Culture, History and Art. The
Indian Pueblo Cultural Center is your Gateway to
the 19 Pueblos of New Mexico. Committed to
educating all generations of visitors.

Institute of American Indian Arts
Serving Native students from across the country
allows for a unique cultural exchange within the
student learning environment. In any given year,
there may be up to 112 different tribes
represented within the student body. This unique
educational aspect is further supported by the
Institute’s outreach programs to the 19 New Mexico
Pueblos. Because of their close proximity to the
campus, students experience first-hand the rich
cultures and traditions of the Pueblo People.

Museum of Indian Arts and Culture
The Museum of Indian Arts & Culture, one of four
museums in the Museum of New Mexico
system, is a premier repository of Native art and
material culture and tells the stories of the
people of the Southwest from pre-history
through contemporary art. The museum serves a
diverse, multicultural audience through changing
exhibitions, public lectures, field trips, artist
residencies, and other educational programs.
